This is the Application by the Orig. Claimants for condonation of 3313 days delay in preferring First Appeal for further enhancement of the compensation amount under the Land Acquisition Act. 2.

The learned Advocate for the Applicants submits that due to financial constraints and intervening COVID-19 pandemic, the Appeal could not be preferred within the stipulated time. He submits that the Applicants are ready to waive interest and statutory benefits for the delayed period. He submits that the Application may be allowed. 3.

The learned AGP for Respondent No.1 submits that no sufficient reasons are mentioned in the Application and hence, the Application may be rejected.

On hearing both the sides and for the reasons mentioned in para nos.4 and 5 of the Application, the Application is allowed in terms of

prayer clause '

A'. The Applicants shall not be entitled for interest and statutory benefits for the aforesaid delayed period. Copy of this order be kept in the order sheet of the Appeal Memo. Application stands disposed off accordingly.
