ORDER:

Present petition has been filed seeking direction against the respondent no.2 to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 12.09.2024 within stipulated period. By the said representation, the petitioner was seeking police protection.

Learned APP places on record a photocopy of the communication received by him today, wherein it has been informed by the Superintendent of Police, Ahilyanagar/Ahmednagar that as per the procedure he has called the report from Parner Police Station. After the report is received, the Committee would take that decision and it is stated that after the report is received, the decision would be taken within thirty days.

We want to remind respondent no.2, it is application for the police protection. It can not be allowed to linger for years together, and therefore, we dispose of the writ petition by giving direction to respondent no.2 to decide the said representation within a period of 15 days from today.
