The father of the petitioner died in the year 2009 while in service as a daily wage employee with the respondent No. 5 Corporation. His father was subsequently regularised. The petitioner applied for appointment on compassionate ground within the prescribed time, but his case was not considered and the matter is still lying with respondent No. 5, without any decision. 3.

The learned Advocate Mr.Salgare for the petitioner, submits that the case of the petitioner is covered by the subsequent Government Resolution dated 11.07.2019 and even by the judgment of this Court in the matter of Mahek s/o Laxman Pusollu Vs The

936wp12017.19 State of Maharashtra Through its Principal Secretary Urban Development Department, Mantralaya, Mumbai-32 and Ors.- Writ Petition No. 9334 of 2017 dated 2.12.2019.

Since the matter is still to be decided by respondent No. 5, we feel it appropriate to direct him to take a decision. 5.

We dispose of the Writ Petition with a direction to respondent No. 5 to decide the petitioner's application on its own merits as early as possible.
