1] Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondents. According to petitioner, settlement has taken place in Lok Adalat. However, as yet, the amount as agreed to be paid by the respondents before the Lok Adalat, has not been paid. 2] Mr. Soman, learned counsel submits that present respondent acquiring body, was not party before the Reference Court nor was party to the settlement. Learned counsel submits that the present respondent acquiring body had assailed the said settlement by filing various writ petitions. Learned counsel fairly states that the said writ petitions have been dismissed.
3] In the light of the above, respondents are bound to abide by the settlement arrived at before the Lok Adalat. The present respondent No.4 shall deposit the amount in respect of the claim of the petitioner, as settled before the Lok Adalat, expeditiously and preferably within 6 weeks.
