The petitioner has challenged order dated 08.03.2023, passed by the Sub-Divisional Officer, Jalgaon Division, Jalgaon, directing the petitioner to pay the penalty of Rs.2,57,652/-. 3.

The learned AGP appearing for the respondent / State submits that the alternate remedy under section 247 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966 is available to challenge the impugned order.

In view of the submissions made, this petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the impugned order before the appropriate authority. In the event, the petitioner challenges the impugned order before the appropriate authority, the authority to consider the same expeditiously and in any event the interim application filed for the release of the vehicle the same be decided within a period of one (01) week in accordance with law.
