It is not in dispute that petitioners - individual depositors have deposited the amount with the District Central Co-operative Bank in fixed deposit and the fixed deposit receipts have matured. The grievance of petitioners that although the fixed deposit receipts have matured in the year 2010 to 2013, the bank has not yet repaid the amount together with interest inspite of several requests made by individual depositors. It is the obligation of the bank to repay the amount to the individual depositors together with interest.

In the facts and circumstances, we dispose of this petition with direction to respondent bank to repay the amount receivable by petitioners
