Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned counsel for respondent No. 2 and the learned A.G.P., representing the State.

The petition is filed seeking directions to the respondents to decide the application made by the petitioner for granting freedom fighter's pension. 3.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the first application was submitted by the petitioner on 30th October, 1988 and thereafter, the reminders were submitted on 1st September, 2014 and 29th September, 2014. However, as yet, no decision is taken by the respondents on the said applications.

As the only relief to direct the respondents to decide the application of the petitioner is claimed in this petition, we direct the respondents to decide the application of the petitioner for grant of freedom fighter's pension within a period of three months from the date of this order. With this direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
