The petitioner's proposal for including his name in the Shalarth Pranali is not being forwarded by the Education Officer (Secondary) for the reasons mentioned in that impugned communication (Exh. G) dated 30.09.2024.

Admittedly, the Education Officer is not the authority to consider such proposals and he is merely supposed to forward it to the Deputy Director of Education.

In light of the above, the writ petition is allowed with a direction to the respondent no. 3-Education Officer (Secindart), Zilla Parishad, Ahmednagar, to simply forward the petitioner's proposal in accordance with law to respondent no. 2- Deputy Director of Education immediately. Respondent no. 2-Deputy Director of Education shall thereafter consider it on its own merits within four weeks of receipt of the proposal. ( SHAILESH P. BRAHME, J.) (MANGESH S. PATIL, J.) mkd/- 1/1
