In ALPST/10346/2022, the learned counsel for appellant pointed out the proviso to Section 372 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, which permits the victim to prefer an appeal against any order passed by the Court acquitting the accused or convicting for a lesser offence or imposing inadequate compensation, and such appeal shall lie to the Court to which an appeal ordinarily lies against the order of conviction of such Court.

The learned counsel for appellant, therefore, seeks leave to convert ALPST/10346/2022 into criminal appeal, for which no limitation is prescribed.

Considering his submissions, leave granted. Permission is granted to convert ALPST/10346/2022 into a criminal appeal.
