Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners, makes a motion that the petitioners be permitted to challenge the order passed by the Collector of Stamps, imposing the stamp duty and penalty of Rs. 3,08,115/- before the authority under the Maharashtra Stamp Act, within a period of one week from today.

If such an appeal is filed, the authority dealing with appeal/revision shall decide the same at the earliest and in any case, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of such appeal. 3.

Till then, further proceedings in Special Civil Suit No.177 of 2008, pending on the file of 4th Joint Civil Judge Senior Division, Latur, shall stand stayed.

Writ Petition stands disposed of in terms of above directions, with no order as to costs.
