PER COURT :- The only request made by the petitioner in the instant matter is to issue directions to the State Government to take decision on the appeal presented by him bearing Appeal No.1347/2016 expeditiously. The reasonable request made by the petitioner in the instant petition deserves to be considered. The State Government is directed to take decision on the appeal bearing No.1347/ 2016, after extending opportunity of hearing to all the parties concerned, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of eight weeks from today. In the meanwhile, statusquo as regards occupation of the petitioner in respect of house No.100 which is already in his possession, shall be maintained. It is clarified that this Court has not examined the merits of the contentions raised by the petitioner and it would be open for the Appellate Authority to take appropriate decision considering the merits of the claim of the petitioner.
