This petition can be disposed of in view of the undertaking recorded in paragraph No.4 of the affidavit-in-reply presented by the Education Officer. The Education Officer has undertaken to take decision on the proposal, in respect of grant approval to the appointment of petitioner, on its on merit and in accordance with law expeditiously.

In view of the undertaking recorded in the affidavit-in-reply, the

2 WP 21-2017 earlier order passed by the Education Officer on 20th January, 2017, refusing to grant approval is rendered ineffective and is quashed. 3.

The Education Officer shall take decision afresh and in observance of the law laid down by this court while disposing of writ petition No.8587 of 2016 decided on 10th July, 2017, at Mumbai. 4.
