The grievance of the petitioner is that though the recommendation conferring benefit of the permanency on the post of junior clerk has been made by the concerned committee of the Municipal Corporation but in spite of the fact that the matter was placed before General Body of the Municipal Corporation for consideration of the same and for taking appropriate decision on it, the General Body has not taken the said proposal for consideration and decision and General Body has adjourned the said proposal for no reason. The grievance of the petitioner is that other similarly placed employees have been conferred status of permanency, whereas the petitioner has been singled out.

Learned Counsel for the Municipal Corporation submits that in the next General Body meeting, the said proposal for conferring the petitioner benefit of permanent status shall be considered and appropriate decision shall be taken.

In view of the aforesaid, we dispose of the petition, by directing the respondentCorporation to consider and take appropriate decision in regard to the aforesaid proposal in the next General Body meeting and communicate the said to the petitioner. We expect that the decision as aforesaid shall be taken by General Body within a period of six months from the date of receipt of proposal.
