Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the respective parties.

The Acquiring Body has sought extension of time for depositing the remaining amount of compensation as was directed by this Court vide order first passed on 07.03.2018. The learned Counsel for the respondents pointed out that, herein before also extension had been sought at least on two occasions and despite availing the said opportunities, the amount has not been deposited. The learned Counsel, in the circumstances, though has not opposed for granting further time, has opposed for granting 16 weeks' time.

It is contended that, since the bank accounts were

3 12965.2018.CA.doc freezed by the Court in some another proceedings, the amount could not be deposited. Now, it is contended that, the bank accounts are defreezed. As such, there may not be any difficulty for the Acquiring Body to deposit the amount within a reasonable period. It is also contended that, the entire amount may not be possible to be deposited even the bank Account is released. Considering the circumstances, finally eight weeks time is allowed to deposit the amount.

Civil Applications for extension of time are disposed of.

List the matters after eight weeks.
