Order :- 1.

The petitioner claims to belong to "Thakur" scheduled tribe and has been inducted in employment of respondent - Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. as against the seat reserved for Scheduled Tribe Category. The petitioner apprehends termination of his service as a result of failure to tender tribe validity certificate. The petitioner contends that tribe certificate verification proposal in respect of petitioner issued to him is pending with respondent No. 6 - Committee and no decision as yet has been taken by the Committee on it.

In the facts and circumstances of the case, this petition can be disposed of by issuing directions to respondent No. 6 - Scrutiny Committee to take decision on the tribe certificate verification proposal in respect of the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of one year from today and it is accordingly directed.

In the meanwhile, respondents No. 2 to 5 shall not take any adverse action against the petitioner on the ground of his failure to produce tribe validity certificate and further appropriate action can be taken only subject to result of respondent No. 6 - Committee in respect of tribe certificate verification claim of the petitioner. 4.
