PER COURT:

1] Heard. Miss Ansari, learned counsel submits that the application under Section 28 A of the Land Acquisition Act is filed in the year 2000. Same is pending for 10 years. Steps are taken by the respondent only after the present writ petition is filed.

2] Learned AGP states that hearing was scheduled on 12.2.2016 and the petitioner through their Advocate on record were directed to place on record death certificate of the deceased land owners and heir-ship certificate.

3] We have considered the submissions. The Authority shall consider that the proceedings are pending before him since the year2000. In fact, same are required to be decided expeditiously. The respondent authority shall decide the said proceedings filed by the petitioner under Section 28A of the Land Acquisition Act, expeditiously and preferably within six months from today, after hearing all concerned. In case the respondent authority comes to the conclusion that the petitioners are entitled for

{2} 646.16 wp.odt enhanced compensation amount, then respondent shall pay said difference of compensation to the petitioners expeditiously, preferably within six months from the date of decision. Writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs.
