The petitioners are seeking their enrollment in the voters list.

Admittedly, the notification published by the State Election Commission under the Representation of the People Act,

(( 2 )) 917-WP-11438-2022 1950, stipulated the cut-off date for formation of the voters list for the elections of the local body as 31.05.2022. The petitioners are now seeking to challenge the cut-off date after a long time, particularly after the process of election has commenced w.e.f. 18.11.2022. Apart from the fact that no such challenge can be put up after so many days, to the cut-off date notified by the State Election Commission, allowing the petition would constitute interference in the ongoing election process. We cannot do so.

The writ petition is dismissed.
