The petitioner seeks permission to terminate the pregnancy. The petitioner was referred to the Committee constituted by the Dean, Government Medical College and Hospital, Aurangabad. The Committee has examined the petitioner and submitted its report. The report reads thus - The Committee has thoroughly examined Manisha w/o Karbhari Jadhav on 05-10-2019 and the report of her ultrasonography done at GMCH Aurangabad on date:05-10-2019. Following findings are noted: A. Length of Pregnancy : Gestational Age of 24 weeks 03 days.

Dilated bilateral lateral ventricles with cerebral mantle thickness of 8 mm & 7 mm on right & left side respectively.

Single umbilical artery 3.

Non visualization of gastric bubble in present scan.

Taking into consideration the above findings there is evidence of substantial risk to the fetus if born. Hence this Committee recommends termination of pregnancy. Pregnancy can be terminated at Government recognized centre of choice of patient with due risk to mother and the risk is explained to her and her relatives.

The report of the Committee suggests that there is evidence of substantial risk to the fetus if born. Hence, the Committee recommends termination of pregnancy. The risk has been explained to the mother.

Mr. Gore, the learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner wants to proceed further with the termination of pregnancy. The gestational age is 24 weeks and 03 days as on the date of report.

In light of the above, the petitioner is permitted to terminate the pregnancy at the Government recognized centre. 5.

The writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
