Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners. 2.
Mr. Patil, learned counsel for respondents No.3 and 4 pointed out that an appeal under Rule 13 of the Maharashtra Zilla Parishad, District Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1964, is provided against the impugned order. Hence, the writ petition is not maintainable.

Perused the Rules. An appeal against the impugned order is the remedy provided in law.

The learned counsel for the petitioners, on instructions, seeks leave to withdraw the writ petition with a liberty to avail alternate remedy. Leave granted.

The writ petition stands dismissed as withdrawn with a liberty as prayed for.

The appellate authority should make an endeavour to decide the appeal within a reasonable period.
