By this petition, a limited prayer has been made by the petitioner, seeking a direction to respondent No. 2 - Scrutiny Committee, for an expeditious decision of his caste claim pending since 15/09/2025.

Considering an innocuous nature of the prayer, and without entering into the merits of the case, we deem it appropriate to direct respondent No. 2 - Scrutiny Committee to decide the caste claim of petitioner on its own merits and strictly in accordance with law, within a period of eight months from today.

In view of the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of.
