The grievance of the petitioner is that, the petitioner has filed Gram Panchayat Dispute No. 74 of 2021 U/Sec. 16 of the Maharashtra Village Panchayat Act. The notice was issued and the matter was kept on 22nd July, 2021. The same is not yet decided.

The learned Assistant Government Pleader on instructions submits that, on 22nd July, 2021, the matter was adjourned to 06th August, 2021 at the request of the respondent. Three dates of hearing have taken place. Now the matter is kept for hearing on 24th December, 2021 and the matter can be decided expeditiously.

The authority may decide the dispute filed by the petitioner pending with it as early as possible on it's own merits, in accordance with law, after hearing all parties concerned and adhering to the procedure laid down, expeditiously and if possible preferably within a period of four (04) weeks from 24th December, 2021.

In the light of the above, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
