It transpires that, the election programme is already declared. After declaration of election programme, it would not be appropriate to invoke the jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. 3.

In the light of that, writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 4.

The petitioners may avail remedy as may be permissible under law after the elections are over. In that event, all contentions are kept open.
