The learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that validation proceedings are pending with the respondents since long time. This Court has already directed the Committee to decide the proceedings expeditiously in earlier writ petitions. The proceedings are not yet decided.

According to the learned Assistant Government Pleader, the proceedings are pending for vigilance.

3.

The Committee ought to have decided the proceedings by now.

4.

Considering the fact that proceedings are pending, we extend the time to decide validation proceedings by six months from today.

5.

The petitioners shall appear before the Committee on 22nd October, 2019.

In case the petitioners are otherwise eligible, then the respondent Nos. 2 and 3 shall not restrain the petitioners from appearing for examination only on the ground that validation proceeding is pending.
