The petitioner claims to be belonging to "Kunbi Caste" and is in receipt of the certificate issued by competent authority containing certification accordingly. The petitioner has been admitted in College as against the seat reserved for OBC category. The Caste Certificate issued in favour of the petitioner is referred to Scrutiny Committee for verification, and the proposal for verification is stated to be pending with Scrutiny Committee. However, no decision as yet has been taken

2 WP-10885-16 by the Scrutiny Committee. As a result of failure to submit caste validity certificate respondent No. 3 - University has not declared the result of second semester of first year B.E. Course Examination. 5.

In the circumstances, this petition can be disposed of by issuing directions to respondent No. 2 - Scrutiny Committee to take decision on the caste certificate verification proposal pending with it, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of one year from today and it is accordingly directed.

In the meanwhile, respondent No. 3 - University shall declare result of the petitioner of second semester of first year B. E. Course Examination forthwith and if the petitioner is found eligible permit him to appear for next examination and respondent No. 3 - University shall accept examination form, which would be tendered by the petitioner for facilitating his appearance for next examination. 7.
