The learned AGP objected to the filing of the writ petition and submits that against the impugned order there is remedy of appeal available.

Considering the same, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would withdraw the writ petition and filed an appeal before the appropriate authority. He submits that his vehicle is detained on 02.09.2025. He has to pay EMIs and the vehicle is to be released.

The learned counsel has pointed out Section 256 (2) proviso and submits that the vehicle can be released on payment of 25% of the amount as directed in the notice.

The writ petition is disposed of as withdrawn with liberty to file an appeal. The petitioner can also file an application for releasing of the vehicle before the appropriate authority.
