The relief claimed by the petitioner in respect of granting protection from disqualification does not deserve to be considered in view of the judgment of the Full Bench in the matter of Anant Hanumant Ulahalkar and others Vs. The State of Maharashtra and others in Writ Petition No. 10478 of 2014, decided on 9th December, 2016.

However, in the facts and circumstances of this case, the Writ Petition can be disposed of with directions to respondent No. 2 Committee to take decision on the caste certificate verification proposal

wp12305-2016 of the petitioner, pending with it, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within eight months from today and it is accordingly directed. The Writ Petition stands disposed of.
