Heard. In both these writ petitions, the petitioners are seeking directions to the respondent No.2 Caste Scrutiny

Committee to decide their caste claims expeditiously. 2.

Considering the fact that the petitioners have already received the communication, by which the employer has proposed to take coercive action, we direct the respondent No.2 Caste Scrutiny Committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioners within a period of eight months from today. Pending the decision of the caste claim of the petitioners, the employer of the petitioners shall not take any coercive action against the petitioners solely on the ground that the caste claim of the petitioners are pending for validation. We make it clear that the protection granted by this Court shall operate only till the Scrutiny Committee decides the caste claim of the petitioners. Writ Petition stands disposed of. (ABASAHEB D.
