Heard Mr. Phatale, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Karlekar, learned AGP for the respondent - State. 2.
We certainly cannot encourage such petition.

The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been allotted the college from the ST category and requires validity certificate.

The petitioner has filed the proposal with the respondent - Committee for validation of his caste certificate only on 16-11-2021. It is a case of the total lethargy on the part of the petitioner in not Gajanan

filing the proposal for validation at an appropriate time. 5.
In such matters, we cannot issue positive directions to the Committee to decide the proceedings within stipulated period. 6.
The learned Counsel submits that in February - 2021 the father of the petitioner has been issued with the validity certificate and in his case the vigilance was conducted.

It is for the Committee while considering the caste claim of the petitioner, to consider the vigilance report in the case of the father of the petitioner and also consider the additional documents, if any, filed for the validation of the caste claim of the petitioner. 8.
Be that as it may, the petitioner may appear before the Committee tomorrow i.e. 15-12-2021.

The Committee may, if it is possible for it, endeavour to decide the proceedings expeditiously, considering that the petitioner is seeking admission to the professional course.
10. Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
