ORDER:

The petitioner was receiving Freedom Fighter's Pension since the year 1980 till the year 2012. In the year 2012, the petitioner intended to migrate to Rishikesh in Uttaranchal State and requested the respondent No. 3 to 7 to transfer his pension account to the State Bank of India, Branch at Rishikesh. Thereafter, the petitioner changed his mind and subsequently intimated that the pension be given at his original address and place.

It is submitted by Mr. S. A. Kulkarni, the learned counsel for the Bank that, upon the request of the petitioner, the pension papers were forwarded to the Delhi Pension Processing Centre i.e. respondent No. 3 and, thereafter, again the request is received from the petitioner to give the pension from the Branch at Ashti. The learned counsel states that, the effective steps would be taken within a period of three months.

The respondent shall consider that the petitioner is an old aged person and his survival is on pension. We expect the respondents No. 3 to 7 to take immediate steps and see that the pension amount with the arrears is released to the petitioner under any circumstances within three months from today. 4.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
