Grievance of the petitioners is that though the award is passed on 9th June 2014, multiplier factor has not been applied. Petitioners represented time to time but no action has been taken. 2.

Mr. Girase, learned Government Pleader submits that in affidavit in reply, it has been specifically stated that the respondents will attend to the application given by the petitioners and will decide it in accordance with law.

If the land is situated in rural area and the award is passed on 9th June 2014, as per the provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, multiplier factor has to be applied. 4.

The respondents shall take decision upon application filed by the petitioners with regard to the multiplier factor expeditiously, preferably, within six weeks and shall thereafter take further steps immediately.
