The applicant has been convicted for the offence punishable under Section 10 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for five years and to pay fine of Rs.25,000/-, in default to suffer simple imprisonment for six months. 3.

Considering the quantum of sentence imposed and the fact that the appeal is not likely to be heard in near future, the execution of substantive sentence of imprisonment to stand suspended pending the 1 / 2
