Oral Order :

The petitioner has challenged the order passed in respect of entries in the revenue record in proceeding arising from the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code. It is observed by the learned Commissioner that civil suits are pending between the parties. 2.

It is settled that the entries in the revenue record are only for fiscal purposes and do not confer any substantive right on the

dbm 2 wp12724.18 dt.19.12.2018 party. Substantive rights are being adjudicated in the civil court and the entries made pursuant to the impugned order will obviously be subject to outcome of those substantive proceeding. 3.

In these circumstances, it is not necessary to interfere in writ jurisdiction. The Writ Petition is disposed of with above clarification.
