By this petition, a limited prayer has been made by the petitioner, seeking a direction to respondent No. 2 - Scrutiny Committee, for an expeditious decision of his caste claim. 3.

Considering an innocuous nature of the prayer, and without entering into the merits of the case, we deem it appropriate to direct respondent No. 2 - Scrutiny Committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner on its own merits and strictly in accordance with law, within a period of four months from today.

In view of the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of.
