PER COURT :- The petitioner is praying for issuance of direction to respondent No.3, District Collector to refer his name to the relevant department for consideration of his claim for appointment to Class III post, since the petitioner is claiming to be nominee of a freedom fighter. It has not been disclosed in the petition as to whether the petitioner is nominated by the freedom fighter or as to whether the petitioner has enrolled his name with the Collector and what is the seniority list number. The Collector is expected to refer the name of the applicants in accordance with enlistment in the seniority list.

Since the petitioner is not in a position to demonstrate as to whether he has enrolled his name with the Collector or the Seniority list number in the list, the request made by petitioner in the petition does not deserve consideration. It would be open for the petitioner to take appropriate steps in accordance with the Policy prescribed by the state Government. It would also be open for the petitioner to approach the Collector for referring his name to appropriate Department for the purpose of employment.
