The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is at Sr. No. 2 in waiting list of the persons to be appointed on compassionate ground on Class-III posts. However, the process is not undertaken for appointment on compassionate ground. 2.
We have heard Mr. Deshmukh, the learned Counsel for the respondent No. 4 and the learned Additional Government Pleader.

In case the posts are vacant to be filled in by appointment on compassionate ground, then the respondents shall take up the
2 56-WP-13421-2018 proceedings for appointment on compassionate ground on its own merits expeditiously and if it is possible, the same may be undertaken within six months.

In case the Chief Officer of the Municipal Council is not authorized to recruit, he may send the proposal to the authorized officer. The appointment shall be made on compassionate ground as per Rules.

The Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
