The petitioner who has been granted permanent approval, is praying for condoning the break in service for the period he was rendered surplus due to change in the staffing pattern on account of reduction of strength of students.

It appears that the proposal forwarded by the Headmaster has been pending with the respondent no.2/Education Officer since 20.10.2011 (Exhibit-I).

We dispose of the writ petition by directing the respondent no.2 to take appropriate decision on the proposal (Exhibit-I) as expeditiously as possible and in any case within six weeks, if it has not been already considered and decided.

Even if the proposal is not traceable with his office, Exhibit-I shall be considered as the proposal and appropriate decision shall be taken.
