The learned counsel for petitioner submits that the petitioner has filed Gram Panchayat Dispute Application before respondent No. 2 seeking disqualification of respondent No. 3. The dispute is filed on 16-07-2021. As per Section 16(2) of the Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act, 1958, the dispute has to be decided within sixty (60) days from the date of receipt of such application. The dispute is not proceeded further. All the parities have appeared before the Collector. 2.

The learned AGP accepts notice for respondent Nos. 1 and 2 and submits that the respondent No. 2 - Collector would take a decision expeditiously, in accordance with law. In fact, the dispute is required to be decided within a particular time frame.

Considering the above, respondent No. 2 may make an endeavour to decide the dispute/proceeding expeditiously and preferably within a period of three(03) months from the date of order, after adhering to the procedure and following the principles of natural justice. 4.

Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
