VERSUS

SHRI. G.B. ANSHIKAR ...

Advocate for Petitioner : Shri Shahane Pradeep L. a/w Shri Parag Shahane.

...

CORAM: RAVINDRA V. GHUGE, J.

DATE :- 10th February, 2017 Per Court:

Considering the fact that the Labour Court under the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 is not a Court under Section 10 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, this Contempt Petition cannot be entertained.

As such, this Contempt Petition is disposed of with a liberty to the Petitioner to seek the execution of the award dated 21.09.2013 by resorting to a remedy either under the MRTU & PULP Act, 1971 or under the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947. The time spent in this proceeding in this Court, would be a good ground for entertaining the said proceedings. kps (RAVINDRA V. GHUGE, J.)
