CORAM : SUNIL P. DESHMUKH & S.M.GAVHANE,JJ.

DATED :

10.12.2018 P.C. :- 1.

Heard learned Counsel for appearing parties. The petitioner purports to question authenticity and propriety of caste claim of respondent No.6. After hearing learned Counsel, it transpires that the caste claim of the petitioner is yet pending and is not decided.

2.

Learned Counsel for respondent No.6 submits that the petitioner has no locus standi, having regard to decision of the Supreme Court in the case of Ayaaubkhan Noorkhan Pathan Vs. State of Maharashtra and others, 2013(4) Mh.L.J.561.

( 2 ) wp2740.14 3.

In the circumstances, it would be expedient that the Caste Scrutiny Committee proceeds further deciding the validity of claim of respondent No.6 as early as possible.

4.

Question of locus standi is kept open. Writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
