The caste claim of the petitioner as belonging to "Thakur" Scheduled Tribe is invalidated.

Amongst other submissions one of the submission of the learned Advocate for the petitioner is that the paternal cousin of the petitioner namely Pranav Prabhu More had also applied for the validity certificate. The same was invalidated. He had filed Writ Petition bearing No. 7550 of 2019. This Court under order dated 21-12-2020 allowed the writ petition and directed the Gajanan

Committee to issue validity certificate to him subject to the proceeding reopened of the validity holders relied by the petitioners. The relationship of the present petitioner with the son of Prabhu More is that of paternal cousin, which is not disputed. In view of the judgment dated 21-12-2020 in Writ petition bearing No.7550 of 2019, we follow the same course.

The Respondent - Committee shall issue validity certificate to the petitioner of "Thakur" Scheduled Tribe. The said validity certificate shall be subject to the decision that would be taken by the Committee in the proceedings reopened of the validity holders relied by the petitioner.
