Petitioner claims to belong to Scheduled Caste category and has been admitted to Degree Course in Mechanical Engineering as against a seat reserved for aforesaid category. As a consequence of failure of the petitioner to tender validity certificate, the University has not declared result of the petitioner in respect of III and IV semester examination conducted by the University. The proposal in respect of caste certificate verification of the petitioner, pending with Respondent No.2, has also not yet been decided. In the facts and circumstances, this petition can be disposed of by directing Respondent No.2 to decide the proposal in respect of caste certificate verification of the petitioner, pending with the Committee, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight months from today; and it is accordingly directed. Respondent-University shall declare result of the petitioner for III and IV semester examination forthwith and the petitioner shall be
