This application seeks extension of time to complete investigation directed by this Court as per order dated 16.03.2015. Vide the said order, six months time was granted.

Mr. Brahme, learned counsel opposes the application on the ground that initially, when the present respondent had sought that the investigation be transferred to such agency like CID, the State opposed it. Now, they have transferred it to CID. Offence is committed in the year 2007. Not much is done till now.

Mr. Kale, the learned APP submits that after the investigation is transferred to CID, the investigating officer has recorded almost 20 statements. Till now, total 45 statements are recorded and the special

crappln6221.15 -2agency i.e. CID, to whom the investigation is transferred, would complete the investigation within six months. 4.

It is a matter of record that time to time directions are given for completion of investigation. Twice orders are passed directing investigation to be completed within six months. Again, application is filed for extension of time to complete the investigation. Though we may appreciate that the record is bulky, considering the allegations about large scale illegalities and irregularities, it was expected that the investigation would be taken to its logical end. Now, the investigation is transferred to CID. The same is transferred when time to complete the investigation as per the earlier order was coming to an end. Applicant could have taken steps earlier also.

Be that as it may, the Court would be concerned in expeditious completion of the investigation. Now that the investigation has been transferred to CID, we hope and trust that a true and faithful investigation would be completed expeditiously. Six months extension granted by this Court on 16.03.2015 has come to an end on 15.09.2015. Extension is granted for completing further investigation up to 30th April, 2016.
