It is not disputed that, the possession of the petitioner's land was taken in the year 2010. The proposal for acquisition was forwarded by Acquiring Body, but no further steps were undertaken. Now, the proposal will have to be forwarded under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.

In light of that, the Acquiring Body shall forward the proposal as per the provisions under Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 preferably within a period of three (03) months. The process thereafter shall be initiated preferably within a period of (04) months and the same shall be concluded within the period stipulated under Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.

Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
