ORDER:

The grievance of the petitioners is that, their salary is not being paid.

Learned counsel for the Zilla Parishad and the Education Officer submits that, the entitlement of the petitioners to receive the salary is not disputed, however, because of the non-availability of the funds, the salary is not paid. Proposal is already given to the Secretary, School Education & Sports Department, Maharashtra State, from time to time and last communication was made on

It appears that, in case of some of the petitioners, the salary is not being paid since 2014.

The State Government is expected to act promptly in this regard and take decision in respect of the proposal given by the Dy. Director of Education (Primary) for release of payment of salary to the employees like the petitioners.

We expect the steps to be taken by the Secretary, School Education and Sports Department, Maharashtra State, expeditiously, preferably within a period of four months from today. 6.

With these directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
