Heard the learned counsel for the applicant and the learned A.P.P. for the respondent/State.

Perused the report of the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Ahmednagar, about progress of the trial. 3.

The learned counsel for the applicant conceded that after passing the order of this Court, one panch witness is examined. It appears that the trial is opened. There are hopes for speedy trial. The accused is behind bar for last three years. However, the offence is serious. Hence, he may not be grant bail, but the trial may be expedited by conducting the trial day-to-day. Hence, the order:- i) The learned trial Court is directed to conduct the trial day-to-day.

4-BA-1836-23.odt ii) The learned prosecutor engaged in this case shall remain present on the dates fixed by the learned trial Court for concluding the trial within nine months from the date of this order.

iii) The learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Ahmednagar is directed to take a review of the progress of the trial each month and maintain the same for further nine months.

In view of the above terms, the application stands disposed of.
