DATED : 27th NOVEMBER, 2018 Order :- This petition is filed with the following substantive prayer :- "B) Issue writ of mandamus or writ in the nature of directions to the respondent No. 2 and 3 to mutate the names of petitioners in revenue record in gut no. 20 of village Nagapur, Tq. Gangapur, Dist. Aurangabad in view of compromise decree in R.C.S.No. 73 of 2011, 74 of 2011 and 76 of 2011."

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have filed/addressed the application to the Tahsildar, Taluka Gangapur, District Aurangabad, on 21st June, 2018. There is an innocuous prayer, in as much as, the petitioners are seeking direction to the said authority to take decision on the said application.

In the light of above, we direct respondent No.2 to take decision on the said application keeping in view the relevant rules, procedure and record, on it's own merits as expeditiously as possible, however, within a period of three (3) months from today.

We have not expressed any opinion on merits of the contentions raised in the said application and it is for Tahsildar, Gangapur to take the appropriate decision.

With the above directions, Writ Petition stands disposed of. 6.
