By this petition the petitioner is seeking direction that the caste claim of the petitioner which is pending before Respondent No.2Committee be decided expeditiously. 3.
Admittedly, the caste claim of the petitioner has been forwarded way back in the year 2017. Considering the fact that the Department has already issued communication dated 16.10.2025 calling upon the petitioner to submit the caste validity certificate, failing which the service of the petitioner will be terminated, we are inclined to consider the prayer.

In the peculiar facts and circumstances, we direct Respondent No.2-Committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner within a period of eight months from today.

During the pendency of caste claim of the petitioner, the employer of the petitioner shall not take any coercive action. We Narwade/
nob-1.odt propose to add that considering the fact that the caste claim of the petitioner shall be decided expeditiously, we direct the petitioner to extend full co-operation for the same.

We also propose to direct the petitioner to submit an undertaking within a period of three weeks before this Court as well as his employer stating that during the pendency of the said caste claim, the petitioner shall not claim any service benefits such as promotion, increment, pay fixation and confirmation etc.
