The Petitioner is a pensioner. His father was an ex-serviceman. According to him, his father was eligible for allotment of a plot. The resolution was passed to give him the plot. However, the plot was not allotted. He, therefore, submits that the right of his father is inherited by him and he should be given a plot.

His representation dated 22.07.2022 is pending with the District Collector. He prays for a decision.

In view of the above, this Petition is disposed off with a direction to the District Collector to verify from the policies and the rules as to whether they are applicable to this case,by taking into account the status of the Petitioner'

s deceased father who was an exserviceman. In this backdrop, the representation of the Petitioner may be considered strictly as per the rules and the policies applicable and a decision be arrived at within 120 days. Thereafter, the decision may be communicated to the Petitioner within three weeks. If the Petitioner is aggrieved, he would be at liberty to avail of a remedy as is permissible in law.
