Mr. Tekale, the learned advocate for the applicant submits that, the applicant has already filed an appeal before the Collector, however, he could not take up the hearing because of the elections. The protection granted under order dated 23.09.2019 be extended further.

The protection was only for fifteen days. Fifteen days lapsed on 08.10.2019. For a period of one month no such protection was in force. In view of that, it will not be appropriate to pass any order at this stage. The applicant may take appropriate steps before the Collector. Naturally, the appellate authority shall consider the application on priority basis.
