All the applicants are convicted of the offence punishable under Section 323 read with Section 149 of the Indian Penal Code and sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for six months and fine of Rs. 1,000/- and Rs.500/- each respectively and in default to suffer simple imprisonment for 15 days and 8 days respectively. This
- 2 - conviction has been confirmed by the appellate Court. Considering the quantum of sentence and the fact that revision is not likely to be heard in the near future, I am inclined to suspend the sentence. Hence the following order:-
ORDER
i) Substantive sentence is suspended till disposal of the revision.
ii) Each of the applicants be released on PR Bond of Rs.15,000/- (Rs. Fifteen Thousand) and with one solvent surety in the like amount.
iii) Bail in the Trial Court.
